You need to set up houses, bases, outposts, etc. Each can be upgraded; you need to help others, manage, collect supplies, etc. Every time you venture out into the wild, you are faced with some choice, and your know-how will affect you until you make it. For example, if you find more survivors, you can help them and take them home. That’s more people to help, more mouths to feed, and maybe more people to get angry at. It is true; you must pay attention to the characters’ moods. When you go out and come across a building, you always think, “what if there are good supplies?” But there’s a bit of risk and reward because usually when there’s something good to be had, the undead isn’t far behind.
State Of Decay 2 is a great game if you like zombie survival games, but there are a few issues that you need to look out for. These are by no means revolutionary, but they are there. The hardest part is learning the menus, and managing your base and inventory is also challenging. The tutorial and instructions on what to do or how to do it are limited; you have to learn it yourself. Controls in the State of Decay can sometimes glitch, which affects gameplay. Some moves and combos are clunky, and hit detection sometimes misses. Sometimes, it feels more like a low-budget game or even an amateur in terms of control.

Everything that State of Decay gains from an ideal point of view is lost from a technical point of view. You feel like you’re playing an early beta version of the game. This PC version is much better than the console game (released a few months ago). State of Decay uses the PC’s power to magnify some technical shortcomings, but you’ll always want more.
State Of Decay 2 player can interact with survivors not included in their party, such as trading with them or helping them in various ways. The game features two relationship indicators. The first determines the recruitment of a Survivor, while the second can dictate whether they are manageable. Only one survivor can be recruited and controlled at a time, although the player can ask a highly controlled player to accompany them. In some missions, one or more AI-controlled survivors will keep the player company.
State Of Decay 2 forces you to use multiple characters. It can be frustrating if you only have a few with good skills. Skills include cardio, intelligence (the ability to search for things silently), close combat, marksmanship, and reflexes (which seem to be related to combat), and level up as they’re used; someone who shoots all the time will quickly acquire a high level of accuracy. At some point, after you’ve upgraded your skills, you’ll also be able to select “specializations” for your characters. The game doesn’t explain this, so it was about 2/3 of the way through the game before I figured out it was a thing.
